Please take a moment to read this document, which covers useful information about my service.

What to expect

Cleaning cycle

I will come by once every 4 to 5 weeks. At times I can be a few days late depending on the weather.

Method of cleaning

Your windows will be cleaned using traditional window cleaning methods (squeegee and applicator).

Your glass will be scrubbed with soapy water using an applicator, then the soapy water will be removed using a squeegee.

Scope of service

A standard maintenance clean is a light cleaning process, which will remove any light build up of dust and dirt.

Any other compacted residue; paint, glue, cement or limescale may require a more aggressive method of cleaning.

Paying your service charge

Your service charge can be paid by Direct Debit. To setup a direct debit mandate visit our website, and select ‘Setup Direct Debit’ from the main menu.

Direct Debit

Once you have complete the DD registration, I will add you to my schedule, and you will be notified when I have cleaned your windows. Payments are processed in 3 to 5 working days. You will only be charged once your windows have been cleaned.

Staff holidays

You will receive a txt message, if I expect your service to be delayed more than a week. This is usually only due to staff holidays.

I also close for two weeks over the festive period.

Working on your property

Keeping a safe distance

To protect you, your children and pets, I ask that a safe distance be kept from me while I am working on your property.

Terms and Conditions

Obstructions or restricted access

If you are having work done to your property, or if there is anything else which would restrict my access to your windows. I ask that you contact us 48 hours before your due date, and I may be able to rearrange your booking.

If I haven’t received any communications notifying me of any obstructions or restrictions to access which would prevent me cleaning your windows and I call out to your property, a £12.50 call out charge will be due.

If only some of your window are inaccessible, I will still clean the ones I can access. However the full service charge will still apply as I have allocated the time in my schedule for the entire job.

Obstacles

Try to avoid storing items directly under windows, or on access paths, and avoid parking vehicles close to your building, directly in front of windows if possible.

Locked Gates

If you have any locked gates, I can arrange and cover the cost of having a key cut.

Dog Waste

For safety reasons, I am unable to work in gardens with excessive pet waste, due to the risk of contamination and the spread of diseases.

Cancelling your booking or service

If you would like to cancel a booking or your service, please get in touch by phone or email. I ask that you provide 48 hours notice before cancelling your booking or service. Cancellations without notice will incur a £12.50 call out charge. If work is already commenced on your property, the full service charge will be due.

If you cancel your direct debit through your bank, this will not cancel your window cleaning service, and may result in pending payments not processing. Please get in touch by phone or email, and we will close your account and Direct Debit, and sent you a confirmation email.

Quotations

Quotations are valid for 28 days. Your service charge will be fixed for a period of one year, after which an annual increase will apply. You will be notified before any increases take place.

Outstanding Payments

Accounts policy

I ask that payment is settled within 28 days of the work being completed.

Temporary hold

If an invoice is not settled within 28 days of the work being completed, your account will be placed on temporary hold until payment has been received.

Late Payment Fee

Invoices that have not been settled within 90 days will incur a £10 late payment fee.

Failed Direct Debit Payments

If payments frequently fail to clear on your account, I incur additional fees, and may have to suspend your service.

Our Service Guarantee

I take pride in my work. If you notice any streaks, smudges, or missed spots, please notify me within 24 hours of your service completion, and I will return to inspect and reclean the affected area at no additional cost to you.

Before requesting a touch up, i ask that you:

  • Contact me promptly: Please get in touch within 24 hours of the work being completed.
  • Check the glass: If I have performed an “Exterior Only” clean, please ensure the marks are not on the interior side of the glass.
  • Verify the debris type: Ensure the marks are within the scope of service. A standard maintenance clean is not designed to remove “non-organic” debris such as paint, glue, limescale, or cement.

Stubborn Residue

Minor Spots: If I encounter a few small, isolated spots of paint or adhesive during the cleaning process, I will make a reasonable effort to remove them as a courtesy. If you notice any isolated stubborn residue after I leave, get in touch and I will be happy to try and remove it during your next scheduled clean.

Excessive Debris: If a window requires significant scraping or chemical treatment due to heavy paint splatter, cement, or glue, this falls outside our “Standard Maintenance” scope. I will be happy to provide a separate quote for a Deep Clean to tackle these issues for you.
