Changes to our payment methods

Changes to our payment methods

After June 2020, we will no longer be accepting payments via Paypal or Cheque. Existing customers can opt to pay in person, or pay their service charge by Direct Debit. For all new accounts taken on from Jan 2020, we will only be accepting payment by Direct Debit. Reason for the Change Adapting to customer habits Less and less of our customers carry cash and are opting to pay electronically, however the existing systems (paypal, cheque) were never intended or suitable for large volumes of payments. Reducing unsociable working hours At current our staff work between the hours of 8am to 6pm, and call back to customers they don't get in after 6pm. The changes we have made will reduce evening collections and improve the working conditions for our staff. ...

New Direct Debit System

New Direct Debit System

Direct Debit (GoCardless) We have recently implemented a new direct debit system, powered by Go Cardless. This system integrates with our system (Cleaner Planner), allowing our customers to pay for their service by Direct Debit. What is Go Cardless? Go Cardless is a company that processes DD (direct debit) payments. They are one of the largest DD processing companies in the UK. Serving 30,000 UK business and organisations including HM Government. What is a direct debit? This means that with direct debit our customers will only be billed once their windows have been cleaned. The main advantages to direct debit Our customers don't have to worry about having cash at home. No one will call at their door at night to collect payment. Our customers don't have to send cheques or remember to pay online when we have unable to collect payment...

Improved database system

Improved database system

You may have noticed that our staff no longer use paper worksheets, and instead mark jobs off using a mobile device. Last year we invested a new software system for managing our customers data, which we have been trialling over the last few months. This new system allows our window cleaners to update our customers account there and then, as a posed to processing the data from worksheets at the end of the week. This new system eliminates the risk of clerical errors when updating our customers accounts, and saves a significant amount of time. As well as being a more efficient system, it also allows us to integrate with a number of useful systems. Working to keep you informed As a small business which serves a large number of customers, it can be challenging keeping in good contact with all our customers. Though the year we have to take time off, and can be running behind as a result. When we...
